Meet Dr. Teri Hayward - Animal Chiropractor
Early on in Dr. Haywards’s life, she realized that health was a gift that needs to be respected. She also knew the importance of getting to the root of the problem. With those values aligning so perfectly with chiropractic care, her career seemed to fall right into her lap.
Dr. Hayward attended McMaster University in Hamilton, ON receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She then attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, ON, graduating in 2002.

An Evolving Passion for Chiropractic
As a chiropractor for many years, she has brought people hope and guidance through health by solving sometimes simple biomechanical problems. Grateful to have also had the opportunity to serve in the UK, this experience has lead Dr. Hayward to further joy and satisfaction.
"I have an incredible passion and desire to share what I know."
As a chiropractor, she enjoys celebrating her practice members’ results daily, seeing them have a decrease in pain, enjoying life and embracing the activities they love.
Becoming an Animal Chiropractor in Burlington
As a chiropractor for over 14 years, Dr. Hayward felt there was something missing, something more she could be doing.
Looking for what could complete that feeling, she was drawn to her passion for animals and her history of working at animal hospitals in the past. She remembers reading “Chicken Soup for the Chiropractic Soul” and being touched by the incredible stories of animal chiropractic. Then, when their family pets visited an animal chiropractor years back, it all started to come together as a theme for her next chapter.
Dr. Hayward inquired about the courses necessary to become an animal chiropractor and received her Animal Qualifications from the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre in 2015.
“Graduating amongst veterinarians and becoming certified is one of the highlights of my career. I made a lot of friends, and now I am able to help ALL of the members of our family.”
Putting Health on a Pedestal
While she has always known how important our health is, recently she began to appreciate the importance of mental health, taking the time to recharge and stay healthy emotionally as well.
To Dr. Hayward, a perfect day would include family and friends, laughing, dancing, exercising, a fiction novel and enjoying great food. She focuses on maintaining good health and being as healthy as she can be for her best livelihood.
Dr. Hayward reflects, practices and emulates so many of the values that we, at Think Chiropractic & Wellness Centre, hold to be the most important. Making the choice to have her join our team was an easy one.
